THE UNITED CHURCH OF AVOCA
Joining a group is a great way to meet new people and get involved in an activity you enjoy. Different groups that we have at the United Church include:
UCW (United Church Women). In the fall, we have a dinner, rummage sale (in August) , Annual Christmas Tree Bazaar (first Saturday in December). Along with mission projects, such as the Food Pantry, Good Guys, Traveler's Aid, Mobile meals. So as you can see there are plenty of ways to get involved!

Katelyn Pigsley on May 1, 9:30 a.m.
Katelyn Pigsley was honored at a breakfast May 1. She is planning to continue her education at Iowa Western and then finish at the college at Storm Lake. Katelyn is enjoying breakfast with her family and our congregation.
5th ANNUAL UNITED CHURCH OF AVOCA SOUP COOKOFF FUND RAISER.
Sunday - February 21st following Worship Service.
Free Will Offering. Money raised is going toward the youth's scholarship fund given to each graduating youth of UCA.
The soups will be voted on, to decide a winner, so please come and eat and enjoy the various soups that will be served.
